Julie C. Mayer

It’s a hard and unfortunate fact to accept that nearly all practitioners will be faced with medical malpractice litigation during the course of their careers. Staying knowledgeable about litigation is critical to every provider’s practice and so is having an experienced litigator, like Julie Mayer, in your corner.

“I strive to work closely with providers to make sure they understand the litigation process and are actively involved in their own defense,” says Julie. “By including the healthcare provider and working closely with consultants, I can focus on the key issues, beginning with discovery and proceeding through trial, to provide the best, most concise defense to our clients.”

Julie represents hospitals, nurses, physicians, physician groups, oral surgeons and dental practices and considers it a privilege to defend providers at trial. Working with the Hancock Daniel team, she has had numerous successes in securing multiple defense verdicts, most recently for an emergency medicine physician and a local dentist. “Because my practice is almost exclusively litigation, I am able to more efficiently prepare a case for trial,” Julie says. “I take pride in my attention to detail, but also keep in mind the ‘big picture’ of necessary evidence that would be beneficial at trial. I find it immensely rewarding when at the close of a case, the client is appreciative and has ‘no regrets’ or misgivings about the defense that was presented.”
